My piece was inspired by my passion for bird-watching combined with my love for crocheting. I used a combination of seven acrylic yarn colors, and locally hand-dyed yarn to crochet this colorful tapestry. I used bold colors and my own pattern to create a handcrafted representation of the bold and important impact that the whooping crane has on our environment. This 2-3 week long process was especially lovely to create because I am particularly interested in Animal Conservation.
